The Peter Stone Scholarship Award
In acknowledgement of his brilliant soccer career, Adamstown Rosebud has for many years presented an annual award called The Peter Stone Scholarship Award. Once he had moved home to Newcastle, it was Peter’s great privilege to present the award each year — and to share his knowledge with the club’s young up-and-coming players.

Peter Stone Field
On what would have been Peter’s 70th birthday, Adamstown Rosebud unveiled Peter Stone Field at Adamstown Oval, together with a mural of Peter in his Socceroos kit. His wife Julie, children David and Kate, and former teammates including fellow Socceroo Col Curran gathered to celebrate the occasion.
“Probably what I remember most was that he was always our football coach,” said his son David.
